If you look in each section, i.e. flatbed forum, tanker forum excc you will find a thread called essential information for xxxx usualy has a terminology thread. You will find different speak for different sector's of trucking

 

I would reckon that your average trucker is more knowledgeable on the state of the highway system and regulations than your average person. After all, it's OUR office, 4wheelers are just passing through.
