Hm, if the ONLY reason they say you did not complete was over using the wrong truck to take the driver's test, I'd say you might have some grounds for appeal there. If that really is all there is, have you tried talking to the school administration. I don't mean the class administration, but their boss.
You may have to "dig" on the internet a bit, but keep going up the ladder. Last case of course is to talk with an attorney, but that is likely going to cost you money that you say you don't have right now. But I just can't see how not getting the license in THEIR truck should make a difference.
Of course I've been wrong before. . .![]()
I'm worried I won't get this job on a technicality

Ok so I talked to a Maverick Transportation recruiter. They haev no problem with my experience or school problem. He told me I can do normal flat bed for .33/mile and be home weekends or join the glass division and get .36/mile and be gone 2 weeks, home for 2 days. Those are student rates btw. I'm all about making more money to dump into my expensive hobbies. I'm used to being away from home for months at a time in the military. My gf is extremely faithful and mature minded, so I should have no problem there.
Why is the glass division more pay? I suspect I need to drive more cautious than other truckers? Or is there another hidden catch?
P.S I'm going to the school in person tomorrow and see if I can kiss that lady's butt. -
Also, glass warehouses have fine chips everywhere. The floor, shelves, machinery, etc. They cling to your boots and clothes, and can find their way into your truck. Nasty business, glass chips. A buddy of mine sliced his eyeball when he wiped his face, once, after delivering to a glass warehouse. A chip had embedded itself in the fabric of his sleeve. Usually you get "broomed off" before leaving, but that doesn't always get 'em all.Quinid Thanks this. -
eww that sounds no good. Yeah i'm in a truckers chat room right now. They are also telling me glass is not worth it. They said most of the time ill be in Canada for 3 days sitting on my butt, not getting paid waiting for the glass to be made, and go to texas n do the same thing. The recruiter says they pay 20 bucks for tarping. I'm now being told that is 150 lbs lifting on my own and it takes 2 hours.
Maybe I should just do the normal flatbed... -
You can read this thread and get a real in depth look at Maverick.

Thanks for the link. I'm reading it, looks I'll be reading this for an hour or so.
I also just submitted an application online to Werner Enterprises. I saw a student driver ad in our local paper. -

Ok I went to the school and kissed that lady's butt hardcore. At first she kept shaking her head no for the first 10 minutes. But after I explained why I took the test early and this problem is the only thing holding me back from employment, she decided to look at my record to see what I exactly missed in class and talked to her supervisor. After 30 minutes of waiting in the lobby, she came out with my certificate. I was so happy, the hardest part is over. Now I just have to study and take the triples endorsement test and I'm driving for Fedex next week!
Also while I was there, Werner Enterprise faxed the school for my school info and pre-approved me for employment. Whatever that means... -
It means to run from Werner as fast as you can.

Hehe, they are that bad eh?
Btw Mavrick got ahold of me yesterday and told me my unemployment gap was too long, unless I include the times I was in college. oh well.
