It's easy using PhotoShop.
There are five and six trailer rigs running in Oz, though. They call 'em road trains.
Google "Mack Titan" to see some pics.
I'm worried I won't get this job on a technicality

I pulled doubles a couple of times, and that was enough! I would not want to drag that many trailers behind me! -
Here's a nice set of some Big Stuff. Remember that Down Under is the flattest continent in the world, and drawing straight lines from point-to-point is rarely a problem.

That truck/train pic is awsome! lol Could you imagine stop and go traffic with that setup? lol

well good luck with things, heck, once I get my head around the expenses and what not in working over in the states, ill be seeing about if my MC(road train license) will be validated over there..
But enough about me; you should do one of them youtube clips about what your doing, and when you get to ride with your mate...

Lilbit Thanks this. -
I've pulled one set of doubles in my career and they were very well behaved. It was kind of an odd setup, though.
I pulled it without the combine on it. Still, with the heavy steel combine trailer in the middle, it didn't wriggle at all. Tracked better than a straight trailer and was fun for me to pull. It was much easier to hook it all up than it was to slide that huge wheat head into the rear trailer. -
Ooo I think those look like 9660's since they are small enough to leave the tires on in the trailer. Still a huge load tho.
Anyway, so I took the driving test yesterday with Fedex. It was... interesting trying to back into the second trailer and dolly hehe. Took me two tries. And it made me realize just how much upper body strength I lost this year trying to move the dolly lol. This was also the first time I met my boss face to face. He looked and dressed like The Notorious B.I.G, but he was cool and laid back, that's a good thing. He also showed me how turning a double a waaay easier than what I'm used to. He purued by doing fast U-turns in the fedex line lot. It felt like we were doing donuts lol. The ol lady thinks its hilarious that Biggy and Dierks Bentley will be team driving and I won't be surprised if more ppl mention it at gas stations.
Just got a call. Fedex wants to verify the school was a 180Hr course. Its only a 160Hr course... here we go again...Last edited: Aug 27, 2010
