When you get to Canada, come drive Northern BC in the winter time! Always good for a little excitement.

Coming from Down Under, there's going to be a language barrier to overcome.
Snow blower is not a Canadian girl who will give you oral sex.
There are 14 words for snow, and they all translate as "Pain in the arse"
We don't have crocs, we have gators, which are separated tire treads lying on the road.
You guys call everyone "mate", here we say "Idiot".
10 degrees C for you is horribly cold, here it's mini skirt weather.
You guys will stop on the road and help out other truckies that break down, here most barely even change lanes for their safety.
You say truckies, we say truckers, but either way your paycheck is too small.
PS, have you heard of "Black Ice"? Hint, it has nothing to do with AC/DC.
Since you can actually speak and read English, let me be the first to say welcome to Canada! -
Haha I'm halfway there like most truckers I call every other road user an idiot (non truckers). Yeah I've heard of black ice haven't experienced it tho. Well I see Canada as some of the toughest driving in the world and great experience for my career that's why I want to do it. Do you guys have b double trucks there and if so what class of licence? In aus it's an MC class (multiple combination) but you will need to do your test in a road ranger/constant mesh gearbox (nobody has heard of them in the uk haha) to have an unrestricted licence otherwise you are restricted to auto and good luck getting a job with an auto licence
-
Unlimited in Canada unless you do LCV ( Long Combination Vehicle ) - That's 2 x 53' with a double dolly in between. It seems each province has it's own rules for maintaining a license for those 'super doubles'.
-
If you are in Europe anyway, go try Norway for a little schooling on winter roads
After that Canada should be fairly smooth(easy) transition.
Welcome to the north, aussie:

And the most important rule for driving in Canada, don't bother measuring the height of your trailer and ignore the low bridge signs!
Speedloader Thanks this. -

Seen it, alot of fresh taxi licences there!
The rail overpass at Kemnay Manitoba gets hit every year no matter how much signage they put up. One guy saw the low bridge warning but because he didn't understand the metric system kept going. -
Some people have named a few companies but can any of you guys tell me of any other Canadian trucking companies that are into LMO? Cheers.
