I posted this back in November in another thread. Heading southbound on I87, south of Albany, NY, two lanes, no middle lane, come upon a traffic jam. What's the problem, accident, smokey, rubber necking, no, no, simply put, Swifty in the left lane that refuses to move over. He wasn't passing another truck or car, just decided to get out there and stay out there in the hammer lane and impede traffic. This was compounded by the fact that the dumb ### 4 wheeler's aint got the common sense to go around the jack wagon. After quite awhile, I was finally able to get around him myself. I'm sure many of the semi's & cars going around him advised him he was #1, just saying.....

In his mind, he was being "safe." His trainer was probably trained by an idiot that was trained by an idiot that was trained by an idiot that was trained by an idiot that received his training at Stevens. Ride in the left lane, and do not check your mirrors because you are only responsible for what's in front of you/to hell with the rest of the motoring public.

Ever go through a construction zone with the construction speed limit at 55 mph, and some bottom feeder goes through the construction zone at 65 mph, and suddenly when you get to the bottleneck in the construction, slam on the brakes and run 25mph. He's being safe too. This is what his godlike trainer taught him was the safest course of action. Same concept. It's all a product of the Dumb and Dumber training program.

That’s worse than the ones out in the hammer lane running hammer down.

    Tennessee.

#1 in speed matching once you start to pass, then slowing back down when you fall back in behind em. Rinse and repeat

They don't drive anywhere but the left lane, ESPECIALLY cops & politicians. Nobody enforces traffic regs. One more unenforced traffic reg is just a PR stunt.

Its a case of self awareness and consideration. You cant really enforce politeness upon a society thats getting more and more disconnected with humanity.

I live in an unincorporated no stoplight town and know most everyone it. We dont really have these issues because people who know each other, consider each other.

Its a feel good law that wont do much. Drugs, texting while driving and welfare fraud are illegal too.

South Carolina could start by focusing on construction zones where trucks are limited to the left lane only to be passed by trucks running ten over in the right lane. I don't think trucks impede traffic in the hammer lane anymore than cars. Sounds like some self important D Bag in state legislature got their panties all bunched up behind a truck and now wants a law to fix it. Typical.
