I bought a new water pump and its been updated. The impeller side has a conical shape to the end of it now and it doesnt fit into the old housing. If i start to finger tighten the bolts then i cannot freely spin the pulley.
Does anyone have the procedure on pulling the impeller?

Cummins obsoleted a couple water pumps on the X's. I am overhauling an CM871 ISX @ the moment and asked for the cartridge. It superceded to the new complete unit. Put it on and water pipe to EGR supply did connect right due to step machined in W/P housing. Read TSB and it required new pipe, which was straight from India.

Right.
Pretty much the same deal. Wp doesn't come separately from the housing now. I dont have the tools to do the housing because one of the bolts appears to be behind the cs pulley. I dont have the funds to purchase a new cs pulley quite honestly. Also dont have the help to remove the cooler and radiator if i have the tools. So, I cut it. Hopefully that does the trick. She ran just now. Small leak the #### oring poked out the bottom smh. So gotta pull it reseat the o ring if its in good shape or replace it with the old one and see how she does his time. Has a slight squeal to it. Not sure if the belts wet or something else. Guess we'll see in a few.♂️baha Thanks this. -
