I want to make sure I am not getting taken advantage of. All new Feeightliner trucks come with the 500k warranty right? Because seller added 10k to the price for warranty and I said I didnt want it and he said without it my warranty is only good for 100k miles so just making sure. You dont have to buy a freightliner warranty right it comes with all new trucks?
Important question ASAP about warranties please

Hmmmm. Are you at / buying a new Freightliner?
I'll text my salesman and ask him.Oldironfan and TruckRunner Thank this. -
So you do have to pay for warranty then? What type is recommended so I can add the things I need.

I've never heard this. I know Cummins is 250K, and if you want to go 500K, it was like an extra $4K.
That was with the ISX. That's just the engine.
My sales man just texted me back and said the 500k warranty on new Freightliner is $5100.Rideandrepair, TruckRunner and Midwest Trucker Thank this. -
Go all out. New trucks NEEEEEED a full warranty. Mine paid for itself ten fold.
I believe I paid 7k on top of everything for mine. Which included engine and tranny 4 year 500k mile, all emissions crap, sensors, wiring 4 year 500k, plus full chassis 36 mo (starters rad charge air, engine accessories, chassis wiring, abs sensors all that crap) engine towing for 2 years, chassis towing 2 years.
Mind you this is all volvo, but same same really. I believe included warranty is 1 year across the oems and that's pretty much it.Oldironfan and TruckRunner Thank this. -
My x15 5 yr 500k was 5k and included towing. Sounds like they are trying to screw you. They can mark it up as much as they’d like. Maybe it’s why the first guy walked.Rideandrepair, Oldironfan and TruckRunner Thank this. -
Ok I'm quoted 10k extra on price of truck but the broker I'm leasing onto is promising some amazing pay. If that pay is true I can buy an airplane to pull the loads.

Maybe they are talking about full extension on truck manufacturers warranty AND engine. Then padding it a little.
I’d call around and do more research. 10k is a lot. And I can tel your chompin at the bit to pull the trigger.Rideandrepair and TruckRunner Thank this. -
