Yeah I always thought the warranty was included so I never paid attention to it. Now at the last minute I have to get a PhD in warranties.

They don't and they can refuse to pay for something based on how the truck is used or abused.

The “standard” is included, look at manufactures website to see how long it is.. 5k I would buy extended if it’s factory and not some 3rd part crap.. 10k I would really have to think about it, you spend that much on extended you gonna have to hitch your wagon to that truck till the warranty is out atleast..

You want a good Cascadia you should have called Harrison in cedar Rapids area. And you could have got a series 60 in new Cascadia.

Call the national level of Freightliner. It also depends on what tier warranty you get. I thought Detroit diesel could sell you an engine warranty exclusive of the dealership. Detroit Diesel and Freightliner are both owned by Daimler.

My Last Truck 99 Classic I bought because it had an extended warranty. Don’t know now but Trucks used to all have standard as follows Truck 100 k. Engine 500 k Trans 500 k ( 13 sod 350 k) Rears 750 k any thing extra cost more $ Mine had standard( Major Component) plus upgraded 500 k on Turbo/ Air compressor and water pump. I bought @ 175 k miles blew Turbo @ 350 k cost $100 deductible . I imagine any warranty can be bought. I don’t know what my example cost as it was a Repo. Other than that standard I’ve heard of 300 k bumper to bumper on Volvo’s . Again not sure. They can keep it for $10 k 300 k isn’t much Major to go wrong
