The hit and run and the speeding ticket will both derail your chances for at minimum 3 years after the occurrences. At least you have your CDL, just keep it current til you can get a trucking job.

It costs nothing but time to apply. Ten Street or Driver Pulse is an automated type of application process where you fill out an app once & multiple companies can review it.

There is no driver shortage. Freight is SLOW & being desperate doesn't make any company hire you. Any THC use, medical problems are going to be an issue & nobody is asking you to comment on THC versus any other drug. If it's in your system you aren't getting hired & state laws are irrelevant & your opinion about those laws changes nothing.

would you recommend people only look at job prospects AFTER spending money on job training or before?

Plan to stay put for a year or more & don't get so much as a parking ticket for the next year. Once you have a CDL you are unable to hide tickets by going to class or alternative means.

I tell you the truth if I own the company and you had a hit-and-run and speeding tickets like that, I wouldn’t even look at you. You need to slow Down Good luck

Now these young kids driving trucks should not have a truck going over 65 miles an hour. They should have the slowest trucks on earth way too dangerous
