I’ll be brutally honest, everything you mentioned does not matter, except for the following …

This is the show stopper and be honest with you, and don’t take this personal, I wish the fmcsa would not allow drivers to be hired with a 15 over tickets.

    A year?

    You kidding, try 3.

This will get you rejected from good jobs.

That said, you need to clear this up, even if you paid the ticket, get the case reopened and the ticket reduced to something that will allow you get past this with insurance companies. Many courts will allow you to do community service and pay a heavy fine, just get it done.

the “criminal” problems don’t even come into play unless you are applying to a job with clearances.

Now, now, I seem to recall lots of younger drivers getting handed a 3 digit trucks, had plenty of tickets, I don't really see that as the problem, it's the criminal record that's setting off the flares. Simple felonies are being reconsidered, drugs, financial, or traffic, but I believe ANY violent ones are not being considered. Even though, they may not be violent, the database may not tell an employer that. The traffic ones are pretty cut and dry, but the others are surely the problem. Best of luck.

The hit and run. Was someone hitting him and not staying. That's how I read it. Maybe I'm missing it. So, not his fault

The 22 over, talk to a traffic lawyer and ask what can be done. I don't know the particulars of WA. If you can reopen it and get it reduced, that would help. Maybe do that before applying to keep the 22 mph out of circulation. Tell the lawyer your trying to get your life on track and the 22 mph is stopping you from improving yourself.

    Good luck.

Looks like not a single soul read what I typed up correctly regarding the hit and run. A car HIT ME AND DROVE OFF. The speeding ticket’s on me but some of these comments are unnecessarily brute, which really isn’t conducive for a good conversation or helpful advice regarding me trying to breakthrough into this side of the world of trucking. I also didn’t understand the insinuation that I do drugs from someone else’s comment/post, because I don’t neither did I mention that in any of my post. Chill out. To those that are actually helping out, THANK YOU!

Thanks for not misunderstanding! And skagit county won’t allow me to defer, take courses or reopen the case to mitigate the situation with the 20+ over. I appreciate all the (few) constructive comments.

you got to understand we have so many GUYS come on here and ask "What are my chances of finding a job, Hit and Run, Failed drug test , FELONIES, Some multiple, SPEEDING, Tons of those and the list goes on." Sure we can help you and we will, but honesty is the best policy. Many times theres not going to be icing on the cake. They just have to read the positives and the negatives, and learn from it. Many times they screw up and no one can help them, because the DOT, Government is hanging them out to dry. I truly believe no one on here is out to get you. Best of luck to you, and dont take things personal here, WE CAN HELP.

Even driving in the ND or TX oil fields, larger companies are turning down people with a bad MVR. You can try the Ukraine OTR companies out of Chicago, they are less worried about your driving record.
