I'm in my last week of schooling with CRST and have heard some roomers about having problems getting hired on with other companies if you don't work out with CRST. I would just like to know what others know about this or your opinions, I have four kids at home so can't wait too much longer for a paycheck and need to know my options.
In my last week of school with CRST, anyone had problems getting hired somewhere else

Why are you worried about it not working out already? Seems to be a negative attitude and you haven't even really started yet.

Isn't there a song by Adel called "Roomer Has It" ?

Ok alot of jerk answers, so i'll try and help out
Once you get out with your trainer, just give it your all. Soak all the info in like a sponge. Be sure not to come off as a know it all or unteachable.
When you get your own truck and hit the road. Just be safe, but drive hard. You want your higher ups knowing your willing to work and you don't cry about a bad load. Same as any other career, Just show you are a hard working, and can be counted on. Try to solve any issues as peacefully as possible.
Now if things dont work out. You want to atleast finish paying off your school and get enough time on the road to not have to go out with a trainer at your next company. IF you decide to quit, do it right. Give them notice, Turn in your truck at the yard you got it from, take pictures of the truck from a distance, showing where it is at, and close up to prove no damages. Then make sure you get something signed that your truck was returned. (this will help save your dac)
Honestly this is really no different then any other job, Respect and hard work is all you need.27butterfly13, Lspilot82, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this. -
