    hello all
    i am a newbie here and am haveing a little problem i hope one of you drivers can shed some light on.liveing here in maine is makeing it tough to find a company to hire me.i have 17 yrs of verifiable driveing vans,flats,stepdeck and oversize but seems they all claim to have no freight here.i would appreciate any input.

    You'll pretty much have to find something local and not on the internet (except maybe that list of craig's). Right now you don't want to live in any corner of the country. Way too many deadhead miles to get you home. It's hard enough for the newbs who live right in the middle of multiple lanes as it is right now. FL has the same problem as does TX.

    as far as local jobs go in maine they are few and far between.am thinking of switching my license to ct and listing my sisters adress as home and leave my own vehicle there for home time.

    Try not to be out of work for more than a couple months! You may be looking at a "refresher" course at your own expense before a lot of these companies will consider you again.
