In need of Guidence - ready to return to the road

I got my CDL in 2005. I drove for a a short time for Werner, and left the road. I had a bad co-driver (who is now my ex) and I had issues at home I had to repeatedly deal with. I tried getting back on the road a few times, left two jobs to go back to driving with the ex (who decided to back out both times after I quit my job, which is one of the many reasons he is my ex).

I'm ready. I want to go and nothing is going to hold me back.

Except.

Getting my license 6 years ago, only driving for a few months after that, and being out of the truck all these years between, what are my hopes for getting in with anybody? I know I am going to have to train again. I have no problem with this. I want to train again because of the crappy training I got from the ex. I ask this because I cannot afford a refresher course with the school I went to. I've been out of work for months after working under the table (I know, stupid, but when you can't find anything else) I now have no income at all and have just about burnt through my savings. Thank god I have an understanding BF, and he is supportive of me going back on the road.

I have no tickets, suspensions, criminal record, ect.

I'm leaning towards either CRST or US Express. I'm planning to team with a friend of mine, who I have spent time with in his truck during my stretch of unemployment. He doesn't want to leave his company until early summer. He said he would train me if he could, but i'm at the end of my rope and want to go now. I can't even find work through temp agencies in my area right now.

Please Help!!!
