In need of some advice - 19 y/o looking for local trucking jobs

    okay, i see what you are saying now.
    But if i didn't plan to do OTR, if i planned to do something like con-way or a P&D or line-haul type of work, would those 2 years exp help, or would it still have been better for me to actual go to CDL school?

    it'll always count for somthing...for how much is the question.

    My advice, keep doing what your doing till right before you turn 21. Go to CDL school get the little piece of paper, go OTR for 2 years. Then you'll have TONS of options.

    Are you leaving the state of VA? Yes...so no, you can't drive there. I asked some dot cops because I'm 20 and in Manassas and was thinking the same thing.
