As far as I know, last I heard anyway a couple months ago, you were required to have a couple months experience before Melton would hire you....

that's what I seen on there website. But just the same they contacted me through the school and want me to fill out a app. so I was just looking for some info on them.
-
Well, what are ya wanting to know? Ask, and ye shall receive! lol

I was just wondering what kind of company they are. I know they all have good and bad. 2 of the most important things are. Cost of family med plan and the ability to save for retirement. everything else would fall in after those 2

I've had no problems with them...but I hear rumors (just rumors) that we are going to start training, which I think is a mistake. I get good miles and am treated well. I haven't really sat for more than a day if I was empty, usually not more than a couple hours, unless my load picked up the next day. They get me moving pretty quick. for extra pay...you get $25 for additional stops, $25 first 48 hours of layover, $50 each 24hr period after. Detention is I think $12/hr, starting after 2 hours past your appointment time. HazMat is .03 more per mile, Canada is an extra .03 also, i believe...
As far as insurance, I just have myself, so I can't help you there, although they use BCBS. Umm, 401k is a match up to 7%...I knew you'd ask about benefits. lol....I'm not really sure about that junk, I don't really pay attention to it. -

I am scheduled to go to orientation on the 30th of this month and have heard nothing but good things about them, but I did hear something about the orientation that I am not to keen on. I heard that you have a possibility of being sent home during orientation and my problem is that I don't want to quit one company to go to another company and find myself on my way home without a job. Do you all know anything about that? It is on my mind right now so I think tomorrow morning I am going to call Melissa in recruiting to get some answers.
