W2 companies will most likely not hire you because its more of a corporate thing. However, 1099 companies ran by foreigners will most likely hire you because they have no real interest in th system or doing things accordingly. They only want to make money. However, this does come with some disadvantages so be prepared for things like unprofessionalism, pay issues, violating FMCSA drive time hours, not receiving escrow payment back etc... Im not saying this the case for all foreign 1099 companies but it happens more than normal. Also, STAY AWAY FROM CHICAGO COMPANIES. THEY WILL #### YOU!
Hold on to your hat, but the media is full of lies. There is no driver shortage. There is a desire among some big trucking companies to have 2 or 3 times more drivers who will work for 1/2 or 1/3 of current pay. "Shortage of truck drivers" is like global warming, it's a scheme to transfer wealth to big players, it's not an accurate description of reality. If you KNOW there are truck drivers with murder convictions you should contact the trucking company they work for. There are drivers with felonies but not as many as popular perceptions about trucking assume is true. People with special situations have to do more work to find a job. This cannot be done online only. You need to physically search your area & visit in person. Most trucking jobs ARE NOT listed online. Newbies look online because it is easy. Google companies in & around your area and call (phone calls are not going to split the earth in half despite younger people's belief it will). Good luck, don't give up. Maybe one day people will ask these questions before signing up for school and not after.
Thanks man I asked and said I would be able to work. Again my felonies are 4 years old so I have hope.
