Anyone who has ever been sleeping soundly, peacefully and legally logging sleeper and then been awoken by that truckstop burrito saying hi has probably not stopped to change to off duty and then forgot to edit. I mean when it's going to be a photo finish who is going to do that?

See, and the falsifying didn't put you in jail.

This is such a bipolar thread as was stated before. Glad I bowed out early and let everyone else take over. I've been thanked and quoted negatively so it just goes to show you... you can ask 10 drivers the same question and end up with 20 different answers.

So how goes the training today?

Let things go south and see how fast the company throws you under the bus.

On a 34hr right now. Rolling later today so we'll see.

I've requested a new trainer by email last night but have yet to hear back from my coordinator. No prob. I also talked to the safety dept and they agreed with my position on a few things. Log dept. not in on the weekends. I'll call them Monday. I might get sent home to wait on a new trainer. I have no problem with that.

Hope you get a better trainer.... this one sounds like an idiot. Like someone else said you may want to go through HR. Drop those key words like 'safety, conflict of interest, and incompatible personalities '. Since it's a training company it'll be nothing new to them.

Hope things get better for you. This can be a great career and as a former trainer I'm sorry you're having bad experiences right from the start.

What your stating doesnt make sense, This Safety Director has no business working in this field. How it works in the real world...drivers operate Safely.

ahem, whats the name of your Carrier.

There is a perfect world, and then there is the real world. You are getting a early dose of what truckers do out there. I'm not saying it's right, but there are many many drivers who know how to tweek the rules and operate safely. There are many drivers who go overboard and end up on the nightly news. It is up to you.
