Speaking of that we have a new line 5 rule were we can bobtail anywhere for 30 min. while waiting on a load etc. Just need to notify Fleet Manager or Dispatcher covering. Pretty cool

My companies fuel stop transactions must match logs within 15 minutes, on paper. No excuse for them not being 100% exact on elogs!

If you have a clean driving and personal record there are many good companies that want you. Don't settle.

Where are you located? PM me.

When the truck is rolling and nobody is logged in the software takes note. The next person to log in if asked if they were driving and gives the miles and location. If you push no, which I have as instructed by my trainer, it gives you a warning message about falsifying your logs.... So yeah, that'd be line 3.

Same here. Flagged as Personal Conveyance. So you don't have to be stuck somewhere with no food, water, bathroom or just bored of the parking lot, not wanting to ruin your 10 or 34 break.

That's the thing, dont think about it as being dishonest, think of it as using the rules to your advantage. You're following the letter of the law. That's what the DOT is concerned with. What I did was 100% legal by the rules.

I got there at 8pm. I left at 630am the next day. 10.5 hours of time. 15 minutes of on duty on each end and 10 hours off duty. I didn't leave the property thereby needing to log driving time.

Think of it like a video game. They have lots of cheat codes you can use. I basically am using an logbook version of a cheat code, using the letter of the law to my advantage.

My logs were examined by the California Highway Patrol during a level one and they passed. Was it 100% accurate? No. Was it 100% legal and plausible? You bet. That's what matters in this game.

Not at all. Orientation was great. Good routes, equip, terminals, etc. I was fine with my trainer until I was asked to do sketchy things.

Point of note. I've got her on tape admitting it. CYA.

When the rail yard is backed up and I am sitting in line, with the brakes set not moving an inch. You bet I am off duty or sleeper getting my 30 minute done!

Told to put my empty in dock five as soon as a trainer gets his three week trainee to drop his empty and pull the load out of dock five... and 50 minutes have gone by...

    That was not on duty.

Plausible is the key, don't show you averaged 67 mph between Quartzsite, AZ and Modesto, CA and expect the CHP to not give you the evil eye.;)
