Internet based faxing is thru your email service, not the aircard itself. This does work with verizon, but not the way you were thinking.

I can send/receive faxes all day long with my air card..... right in my email box.

Rapidfax is who I use, the 800 number is nice for folks faxing me. No long distance. No complaints.

    rookietrucker Thanks this.

Lucky you didn't get a "vacation", although with your attitude, it probably won't take long for that to happen either:biggrin_25520:
Perhaps you should re-read the FORUM rules on posting links to out-side sources, particularly the part that RESTRICTS members with less than 50 posts.

Would you mind walking me through this?

Hypothetical ...... I am negotatating a load with a broker. Sign time comes up. They Fax me their load agreement, let's say just to be a pain it is 20 pages long. They fax it to a number I give them and in my email inbox it pops up.

Bla Bla Bla parties of the first part agree to Bla bla bla ... Parties of the second part Bla bla bla ... First born male child Bla bla bla SIGN HERE IN BLOOD"

This Fax is ? an attachment to the email? In the body of the email? So I go and print out the SIGN IN BLOOD page on my handy-dandy all-in-one and cut myself and eek out a signature. Scan that page and ? find a way to replace the original page with with the blood stained page and send the whole think back though the fax provider though their email addres?

Question how many brokers could have just emailed it to me? Am I gonna loose the load cause it take 30 min turn around time if email server or something is slow?

Thanks in advance for your help

    Rosie

The whole mdamn country is turning into a Nazi state and YOU voted for it! My 2¢ worth

Typically you only fax back the pages needing signed.

In that case you scan and email/fax them.

For example if I fax to you the number would look like 12345678901@rapidfax.com

When sending to you the person on the other end faxes to your number just like any other fax machine.

These "fax" companies send you an attachment similar to a PDF file that you print out, and you scan the document as a JPG (or similar image file) and although you "email" it, it is digitally "faxed" to them so they receive it as a FAX.
    Myself?
I have documents sent to me as a PDF file to my email address, I print, sign and re-scan as a PDF and email it back to them (if necessary). Chances are, if they have a FAX, they have an email address. I have found that EMAILING a PDF document is MUCH faster than FAXING and the document is almost ALWAYS more legible than a FAXED document.
MOST of the time it is more convenient than old-fashioned FAXing.
There is a FREE PDF utility I use called CUTE PDF (Google it) that resides on my laptop as a "printer" that allowes me to "print" ANY DOCUMENT to a PDF file.
If it can be printed, it can be saved automatically as a PDF file.

One example of a "Cute PDF" printed document is found here (on my website): http://www.rollingrescue.info/Rocket2.pdf
