Be careful after dark, my wife was born there, I was born next town over. Was just up there the other day Frelinghuyson avenue, everything's changed, except Rutts Hutt, just off Rt 21, North of Rt 3, best dogs in the state, haven't been in 20yrs, still taste great and hasn't changed a bit. Truck parking in the back, easy access to NJTP via Rt 3.

 

Nathan's are NY born, along with Hebrew National, used to be able to see their sign(LI city, I think)off the LIE. Rutt's Hutt has been there for over 60 yrs.All original fast food and cold beer on tap, started out many a Friday night there back in the day.

Showed up today at an oil distributor to pick up two pallets. I name the product, the count, etc and they are reluctant to send it back, they think it’s supposed to go on FedEx freight. For six flipping years we have been the sole trucking company hauling this stuff. Thirty mins later they’ve got it loaded on me.

 

I visited my old home church with it's original buildings and so forth in Downtown Baltimore. They have been taking good care of the place believe it or not, approaching about 110 years of existence. Original Slate roof and all, lead pipe organ etc.

The videos created by the Body Membership of that church is a shocker to me because all races are mixed in the congregation and children these days. Keep in Mind old Baltimore was a whole world in one city. Different cultures had their own blocks so to speak. You could literally walk say from Germany to France and then Holland towards Poland and India etc in a hour. If you kept going you would have run into the Irish and Greek etc. It was wonderful.

That was then. Today it's something that needs to be carefully evaluated because of the excessive violence, damage by drug trade etc and racial tensions that are unnecessary in my book, but still exists if not has gotten really bad over the years in that poor city. It's gotten bad. But its still the old home ground and you cannot help but hope for a better future for them.
