Incorrect fuel reading tank shows empty, but can only pump 50 gal

Did you buy the truck used? I know mine and a lot of other companies put the fuel sensors up higher than normal so that when the monkeys driving them see the idiot light come on there is still 20% of fuel left so they can get somewhere to fill.
