In April I will have had my CDL Class A for two years. Currently I am a company driver hauling food grade dry bulk (flour, sugar, starch, etc) with a pneumatic trailer. Over the holidays I went and applied for my US Passport so I can go into Canada. Before I started driving I went and got my Hazmat, Tanker and Doubles and Triples endorsement. I plan on going back in the next month or so and getting my Hazmat Tanker endorsement. Besides keeping my driving record clean is there anything else I can do to increase my earning potential and ability to find a better job?

I live in Minnesota just south of Minneapolis. Ultimately I would like to find a job that would allow me to be home either daily or every other day. I'm not picky about the type of cargo I haul, as long as I'm paid fairly for the work. I figure the more endorsements I have would help me to find a better job.

I thank you in advance for your input.

Go to the LTL carriers and apply there, Conway, UPS, UPS Freight, YRC.

ALL great paying jobs, with union benefits and retirement!
