Indian River Transport, Co. - Winter Haven, FL.?

I have always been told hourly was $15 a hr here but guess they changed it or lied

 

Honestly, its two reasons. 1 i dont have to go to Jersey anymore, 2. I love the frrdom if being so close to the yard that i can say screw it i am going home and having a few beers hehe

 

If I calll and ask for a load why do I need to explain why, they give other ppl loads no questions asked.. Called melvin he seemed irritated said he was dealing with customers so I had to talk to chris, I have never meet her but its like talking to someone who is mentally challenged.. I asked for a newark to pembroke. After she said pembroke 5 or 6 times like she dident know what I was talking about I said newark to canada. She's like oh I know,then got snotty and asked why I'm asking for it. I got hometime for the 8th. Ohhh we are trying not to do repowers anymore but since your trying to get home illl give it to you.

 

So why do you only go home every other weekend...you're maybe 45 min from the house if that

 

Cant make any money if you take every weekend off, i find that helping out on the weekend usually leads to a good load/loads during the week.

But now the the Arena Football Leauges season is here, i will be more inclinded to take more weekends off (i am a season ticket holder for tthe Orlando Predators)

 

Well tomorrow I'm checking out a couple of apartments I've been looking at, if all goes well with one of them I won't be driving 45 minutes to go home anymore...more like 2 or 3

 

Well did my interview today and got hired to drive truck in the oilfield. The only down side i see is the trucks are kinda run down....everyone i met was real cool so tomorrow i gotta take a drug test and physical. Then come home and clean out my truck. Hope im making the right choice. Lol going to be working nights cuz its more chill so see what happens .....i gotta call IRT tomorrow and tell them im quitting lol im sure they wont care......

Well called IRT today was talking to JJ told him the truth and he put me on a LOA so i could try out my new gig so if it dont work out i still got a job here at IRT. JJ has always been cool with me . Well i gotta turn my truck in tomorrow in turlock who ever gets it has a good truck. It still does 75 and the motor is turned up to climb a hill thanks to Ed lol

 

You must not do very much idling. I idle the hell out of mine. I refuse to be uncomfortable in my own truck. Especially doing this local stuff. I'm gonna have to start doing a better job with keeping the truck stocked with food. Most of the time that's the only way I get to eat on these local runs.
