so what would be the one thing that you all would say is the worst about irt? everyone talks down on them but they have nice equipment and still run paper logs and tanker work is easy... plus the pay isn't that bad so what would you say makes it bad in your opinion?

I don't work for IRT but I do it admire their equipment. I saw an IRT prostar for the first time in Cali today. It just seems Like you guys have a lot of unpaid waiting time. I haul a chemical tanker so I know it's much different in the food grade industry. That To me is the pay issue

Oh yeah , EOBR tells all . I left when they started telling me what percentage of the time I had to use cruise control and couldn't use personal conveyance to go from a tank wash to a truckstop .
A lot of runs that could be done in 2 days on paper would stop the driver 30 - 45 minutes out on e-logs . The bad part is there's a KY scale 20 minutes from the terminal .
I just learned this . The e-log pairs to smartphones . The affiliate I worked for supplied Blackberries . Evidently some drivers have to buy the phones .
