I don't mind it I hope this load from memphis to cali was a sign of my miles picking up I got stuck with a lot of time on this load going to spokane cuz of the holiday but that happens, they are reallly laid back, but if you want something you gotta ask until it gets done cuz they willl forget as soon as they hang up the phone, truck runs decent was a mess on the inside when I got it. Its a decent company my biggest complaint has been miles. I have posted every load I've done since I started here.

I can get pretty creative and all irt drivers know the company is trying to keep things legal because of log troubles that why they droped how much fuel we could get... Anyhow after runing from cali I think it was to mi on monday you posted loading in shelby mi going to auburdale I loaded memphis monday night/tues morning, delivered friday. Your telling me by the time I did that load 2000miles 3 days you loaded in mi delivered in fla reloaded whereever and delivered where ever and by sat you were reloading in tipton, cal going to tx.

Make sure its right by the time you hit the Arizona Scales. Last 2 times I went through there they were pulling every truck in and making you show your permit book. I had a problem with the registration not being current. $159 ticket plus $88 for a permit for the load to cross Arizona one way.

read up on all these posts brother !!

The pay is low, benefits are expensive, no orientation pay, trucks are beat to hell (unless you luck out and get a new one), and they do NOT pay detention time (you will sit at times)..

Before I went down there I read every post in this thread the negatives on IRT are all pretty much true...I asked the dude who did my DOT physical and drug screen how many new IRT drivers a week come thru the clinic he said usually 10 or more, what does that tell you if they hire that many a week ??

I did the orientation down there like two months ago and that was all I needed too see, I came home and took a local job..

There isn't an IRT driver on this site that can debate anything I just posted its all true..

    you've been warned my friend..

I won't disagree about low pay and all that, but you should take notes from drivers that work at Indian river. It works out for some people and not for others.
I came from crete and like it better.
