Ok, I know the Winter storm that rocked through the Midwest January 7th and 8th were bad, in the small stretch from Indianapolis, IN to Seymour, IN along I-65 was severely bad, I counted 8 semis and 32 4 wheelers ditched or crashed in this 60 mile stretch. :biggrin_25524:

The worse one was at Mile marker 62 morning of the 7th. I was traveling south when I snapped this photo only minutes after it happened. A SNI truck was traveling north at a extremely fast speed for road conditions, he lost control and crossed the median, crossed over the south bound lanes through the ditch and slammed his truck into a frozen woodpile.

I do not know if this was driver (stupidity actually with border line suicidal) or was it a medical condition like a heart attack. When I made my delivery on Seymour,IN, I stopped at the TA. I talked to some of the drivers and some say he waked out of the truck and others say he died at the hospital.

Has anyone else know anything about this accident??

My question is.... If you witnessed the accident, then why didn't you stop to provide a report to the officers when they arrived?

I did not say I witnessed it. It happened just a few moments before. 3 State troppers just arrived and I was sitting still in the right lane as a ambulance was flying up the left lane.

Here is a shot a few hours later, you can see his tracks in the median. I grab this on my way back to Indy.

That had to be a medical issue. The truck is not damaged that much.

I've seen this happen before with a heart attack. That time the truck crossed the median and the other lane, then went down a bank into the woods.

The wreck doesn't look that bad.... he must have had some other medical issues.

The company I work for had a driver do the exact same thing cross median hit concrete wall wide open (heart attack). I was in Cincy Thursday the 7th and I dont know if its the fact that I dont live where it snows alot if at all. One thing I will say is that drivers suprised me up there I was doing between 45-50 drivers passing me like it was a sunny afternoon. I saw a bad wreck at the 178mm in Ky N/B side I will put up a pic when I figure out how to upload it from my new phone. I was wired from being cautious/nervous:biggrin_2554: that I couldnt even sleep but only 3 hours Thursday night. I love the sunshine in the deep south. Hope I never see snow agian.
