Which one? If it's one of the standard interstate rest areas, you'll be fine.

There's a "No Overnight/No Camping" sign just as you come in. That was a surprise. -
There's so many rest areas with no over night parking.Most take those signs as a suggestion,lol.

Most have a live caretaker, I'd ask in Indiana. Welcome centers have those signs up often, but I have been told elsewhere to ignore it if I needed the break.

I think they're mostly concerned about people on road trips camping out in the rest area and turning it into their tailgate party. Just my guess. It's a "rest" area, the point is to go there and rest. Right??? At least one would think...lol

In Texas the only rule is you can't remain in a rest area for more than 24 hrs so no rest area resets guys!

they are worried ma and pa camp trailer or those who drive those $100,000 homes on wheels , are going to set up camp for a week.
