Has anyone on here gone through the orientation in Indy? What should I expect? Have you heard if the trainers are available and how about the trucks when you test out? Thanks for any info.

Indy is probably one of the worst terminals to get a truck out of. But that being said you may not test out in Indy just because you go there for orientation. Your trainer will drop you at the nearest terminal after you complete your hrs. The larger terminals usually have better trucks Omaha, Atlanta, Dallas, etc.

Decided on something else. Graduated today and accepted a job with a local trucking company hauling ag. products (corn, beans, fertilizer, lime...) Got a nice Pete, heading to a cattle farm with feed on Monday. Looking foward to this new adventure. Just glad I don't have to spend 4-8 weeks on someone else's truck.

Sounds like you got a real good blessing finding something local to get your time in. If you keep reading on here, you can find a lot hard times for newbies so if you can get your time in local, and get through a year, you can write your own ticket going over the road. Just be careful and keep your record clean.
