Buy a reasonable priced radio that has not been touched by anyone, install it in the truck and focus on the antenna system. The idea of buying one and having it tuned is the worst thing you can do, they are tuned at the factory but the antenna system matter a lot more.

You have to admit your intentions on your first post wasn't real clear, since you were asking about the work they do. I'm sure that's why Ridge assumed you were thinking about doing an alignment on a new radio if you bought one from them.

Most of these radios today are easy to modify, some you don't even take the covers off. The real question I've had for awhile is when a 10/12 meter radio is modified to use on the 11 meter band, does it really need an alignment done?

Hopefully someone who has done business with this shop will eventually be able to answer your questions.

My 2 cents is to buy an 11 meter radio. There are plenty to choose from.
I've had radios tune and tweaked before.....
For a small radio it worked well, with improved clarity. I also had it done on a 10 meter..... bad mistake......
What really helps is antenna being right.

I’m well aware the Antenna is might make point being if the Average radio operator doesn’t have knowledge or tools a radio shop has to do the Alignment I’ve previously bought from Walcott radio with out any issues I’m also on there mailing list for special
Offers and they have all the test equipment I’ve been into there store plenty

This is why we all assumed you want the radio to be peaked and tuned, if it is a conversion, most of the time it doesn't need alignment.

What radio are you looking at?
