Yeah, but I love the music and singing. Watch the guy playing the violin; he's key to the background music.

Learning to move furniture without damaging it takes experience. You think your going to jump in and be a professional mover on day one you are sadly mistaken. Think you are going to lead a crew of professional movers on day one, ridiculous. Even if you are only tasked with packing the truck, which aint easy, takes experience. People pay thousands for movers and dont want there stuff smashed, scratched, chipped, scuffed and broken. They also care about there walls and floors oddly enough.

Ultimately I'm looking for an insight into the industry, things to be concerned about, things to look out for, etc., so I can better prepare myself for what's ahead. So I sincerely appreciate everyone taking the time out of their days to give some feedback.Last edited: Jun 26, 2019

Trucking is a journey of sorts. It will be whatever you make it out to be. The main thing is this gadget called the internet and ttr has a way of preventing you get stuck in say Associated Grocers in E St Louis one night from not knowing where or what. (Dangerous area.) My trainer took me there with a load we arrived at 2 am and he asked if I had a blade... ! yes why? then he explained the threat level that night there. That load was delivered well enough.
Molonlabe Thanks this. -

In a 1099 arrangement, you would have no PTO and would have to purchase your own health insurance. You are classified as an independent contractor. Also, be cautious if the company is trying to force you into a lease purchase of your vehicle.
