Not willing to go into too much detail but would bulk shipping of retail packaged fire ant killer require placards?
Well above the minimums, 30K+ lbs.
Insecticide?

Whats your shipping papers say ?
-
Nothing identifiable.

If you are a company driver ask your dispatcher to clarify if it's haz mat or not.It should be marked as hazmat on the bol and the shipper should give you placards if needed.
Speedy356 Thanks this. -
I called them but by then I was already delivering so it was too late, but this was a brokered load.
Can't swear it was all Spectracide but the back row was and it sure did smell like it. Scan that company's website and didn't see anything that really outlined what placards they might use.
Normally haul reefer loads. Our trailers don't even have anything for hazmat placards, would have had to find vinyl stick ons. -
what does the Haz-Mat book say??
-
It depends on what it is,how it's packaged,if it's on hazmat table 1 or 2.If it's table 2 and retail size package probably no placard needed. If it's table 1 then placards needed,

My standard hauls are food... So out of my element even though I have the endorsement and didn't find out until I broke seal to deliver. -
If it had a UN number you can look it up that way.

Consumer packaged items that would be Hazmat in bulk are mostly not Hazmat when shipped.
cuzzin it, Numb, FLHT and 1 other person Thank this.
