well first i'm getting paid .32cpm not .27 and 2nd furniture is 100% of what we haul out of conover there will never NOT be stops. And if your only getting 2000 miles a week you need to work harder and spend less time whineing.
And W/S just bought MGM and another trucking company out so there is more freight out of conover then they can handle right now....
Good luck elsewhere im sure another driver will appreiate your truck and being home weekly....

no not a cent. The association is the website that list all of the Truck Drivers around the world that make youtube videos about trucking ---> www.yttrucking.com which is also in association with the truckers report as well....

I guess the definition of personal insult varies from thread to thread. Unbelievable.

I have to chime in here, I'm compelled to.
Watkins Shepard taught me how to drive from scratch. They have a method that produces truck drivers. Nuff said.
I stayed 15 months. It's a STARTER COMPANY that has some nitches for longer tenured drivers. I did Myrtle furniture delivery until I got to flatbed. I love the people, got a huge advantage into trucking and was paid EVERY SINGLE MILE I DROVE! Get it?
I spent a winter on I 80 or north of it. I wanted warmer climes. So I moved on.
It was by far the best experience of my career and the foundation of my behavior now. I went there for no trainer. They delivered.

I think formertaxidriver has done a good job of addressing both sides of the argument. WS is a starter company. For someone that is able to work indepently, they offer a quick way of getting rolling on your own. From what I have read on several different blogs, their method of taking new drivers and getting them rolling quickly is successful. It seems a much better place to get that first year or two than most companies that will hire inexperienced drivers.
Once you have 1-2 years under your belt there are much better opportunities out there. It may work great for AT to run his butt off and never be home as a 23 year old. Some day he is going to want a little home time. You will find you can make the same amount of money running a lot less miles and being home every week.formertaxidriver Thanks this.
