I wonder what your motive is. I mearly brought my positive experience and you turned it into a snarkfest. You are the man. W/S has much to be proud in you.

Walstib--are you stating that you ran 125K miles in 11 months, being home every weekend and making $50K.

 

Nope...I said I was OTR for 11mths...I only got home 3-4 days a month, NOW I get home every weekend and will make just under $50K my first year...I'm also making equal or better than I did OTR now!

 

Did you go to work for a different company, or did you get a regional/local postition with WS?

 

I took a local(Western Kentucky region) slot out of the Kentucky WS terminal just so I could get home more often...3-4 days a month, which was MY choice, not mandated by company, just wasn't enough but I was working on the experience...I loved being OTR but patiently awaited an opening at my local terminal for the gig I have now...Both options offer a wide variety of experiences...I now spend my day hitting 10-12 docks where I used to drive 6-700 miles a day hitting maybe 2 docks every 2-4 days...My wife is much happier now and you know what that means, when she's happy, I"m happy!!!
