I don't think I would call it a hell hole,sorry "Great Chinatown" not disagreeing with you, Solitaire confinement, restricted movement, lots of time on your hands maybe. I real hell hole would be in Venezuela, Mexico, for average citizen, Turkey and many others. He will get fed, cloth, medical care just won't have freedom. In some other countries your family has to bring you the food and clothing, no medical, not protection from other prisoners.
