It depends on what shifter was ordered. The basic doesn't have the manual shift buttons or power mode. That's actually a painless upgrade for the premium shifter in the aftermarket. $1000 at the dealership and most of that is the cost of a new shifter. You can find used ones for almost half the dealer cost and all you need besides swapping in the shifter is a quick ECM flash to "wake up" those modes, probably an hour of labor time.

I loved my 670. The only person I'd ever team with is my cousin, and there is no way the two of us could operate out of a 670. As a solo machine, I think it's the cats whiskers. But way too small for two. The 780 would be the cats whiskers for teams.
The I shift will give you more room though, not climbing around the shifter. I swear by manuals myself, but doing this local gig, if they wanted to give me an auto, I'd have no problem with that.
My 670 was 2012, quiet, 0 problems, 6.5 with no apu. 300 gallon tanks, which worked great for me cause I was on paper. I'd take the Volvo any day, twice on Sunday. You'll need to get some kind of mattress for the top though, your right there, cause the top bunk, to even call it a mattress is laughable. Mine came wired with a MONSTER inverter from Volvo, and 120V receptacles every where.
That's a shame if they try and stuff two of you in a 670. You'd be livin' the dream with a 780.
Good luck.
Oh, and the stereo receiver & CD player , especially the CD player work great.
See the remote stuck in the dash for the stereo, left of the hat, that's all Volvo stuff. I bought it cause I heard nothing but good about the D13, your company I'm gathering so you don't care about that so much, but once I started really driving it, and living in it, found all the creature comforts, I mean there is a factory 120V outlet everywhere, I was just going, man I can't believe I drove those dam shakers for so long. They don't leak, and the wind doesn't blow through them either.Last edited: May 16, 2016
2Girls_1Truck Thanks this. -
My antenna brackets will not bolt on to the Volvo 670 therefore I will not drive one.
I would however gladly drive a Volvo 770 or 880Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.
