Questions we wished we asked up front.

My biggest two questions I have learned to ask are,
" Both dive axels are actually drive axles and one isn't a dummy axle right?" And then "Does it have both bunks."?
I have traveled and looked at 4 trucks before this hit me ...
Would any one else like to share?

They should have said it was a tag axle. Unbelievable. One bunk only? Understandable. Maybe get the vin if serious, do a rig dig , run the vin # at the dealership, get manufactured date, In service date, any warranty work, with mileages dates of the work. Get an idea if it’s a Shop Queen, or how it’s been ran maybe abused?

Usually that stuff is pretty obvious on a Truckpaper or Trader ad. A few good pictures answer a lot but I agree even some of those good ads get lazy about listing the full specs accurately on a piece of equipment so prospective buyers can know exactly what it is before wasting their time calling or emailing.

A full ECM data dump is a nice thing to have. Tell you a lot of information. If you’re not sure what you’re looking at. Pay a knowledgeable person $20.00 to go over one and explain it to you. Worth the time and money.

My current truck is a single bunk. Serious loss of shelf space in my opinion.

All 3 of mine have been single bunks. I know exactly what you mean. I added an upper to my last Truck. Had to take it out of a parts Truck. Paid $100. It’s a job, but possible. Easier to just make a shelf. Something that never gets done. Lol.

They don't look as cool as flat tops but the condo top trucks are far more functional and comfy even for solo driving. Being able to fully stand up is priceless.

“Yes Both axles have tires that roll on them with air bags”

“It has one sleeper on it”

How some people are able to tie their shoes amazes me never mind own trucks

Those trucks whith only 1 drive axles can save you a half mile per gallon in fuel. I used to look purposely for those trucks.
