We got a 2003 International 9400 at work. I was going to install a c.b. in it today.

First problem is: of all the c.b.'s I have (three) none of them fit in the hole. I took off the faceplate that is where the radio is to go, but they are all too big. Do I need to buy another radio that fits, or can you buy different sized faceplates?

Also the wire plugs that are there ( for the power) I presume, are not the same as the radio's I have. So, do all the different kinds of radio's have there own style of power plugs? (I would have thought they may be all the same)

I mean cb radio. There is a spot in the overhead dash for a cb, in the 9400.

I took the old faceplate off and made a new faceplate out of a piece of aluminum made to the correct size of the radio I had. Looks as good as factory!

I got the radio installed today. I had to take off a plastic spacer with the hack saw to make room for the radio I had, but it is all inside, so no one will ever know.:biggrin_25525:
