Installing GPS Tracker

    I am trying to install a GPS tracker on my 2011 Freightliner Cascadia. Need a Ground wire, Hot wire, which is no problem but the Ignition switch is the one I am stuck on. Anyone that can help???

    Sounds like it wants something that is powered up only when the ignition is on, hard to say from your description.

    Use a test light on some of the blank terminals in the fuse compartment...should be some that arent used. Use a fuse! Test the terminals with the ignition switch off and then on to find one activated by the ignition. BE CAREFUL to run proper gauge wire in a conduit type protector to prevent chafing/rub spots and also make sure where ever you run the wire that it's not pinched between anything anywhere. Anytime you run wiring there is a fire hazard if not done with proper connectors, routing, etc.. you can't be too careful.
    If in doubt have a professional do the job for you.
