I don't have much knowledge on this subject, but I have heard of owner operators with their own authority accepting inexperience drivers to run team with them. One of these drivers said the downfault was the insurance, but he prefered new drivers because of their enthusiasm. Experience drivers tend to complain too much and normally have bad habits. This may be one way to get experience. Maybe advertise in someway to owner operators that are looking for a team driver. This is a common practice in my area in Florida. I don't know if it is in other parts of the US.

No doubt you need to read the entire thread and catch up just a bit.

240 pages is light reading for a Sunday night:biggrin_25518::biggrin_25518::biggrin_25518:

Yeah I came through home yesterday morning, hit Waffle house, then laid down to take a nap at around 2pm and slept straight through to 7am this morning... I was wiped! Just finished my billing, $5473 to the truck. I'm under load though and have to run this over to Columbia, SC and see what's next.

Plus I'm giving Al and his partially employed constituency a fighting chance :biggrin_25525:

Hey it pays to have an attorney handle your tickets.

I got that speeding ticket in Emporia, VA my first 2 weeks out. I hired an attorney there for $200.

He sent me a letter back asking for my MVR and a signed notarized calibration of my speedometer at 10 mph increments. I was like WTF?? I barely have time to send off a speeding ticket fine much less bear the full burden of an evidentiary trial! Well so I said screw it, I'll just pay the ticket when it comes. I never even called the attorney's office back.

Anyway, long story short, he apparently got it knocked down to improper equipment -General... $131.00. At least that's all it would have been. Since I can't be bothered to read my mail more than once a month I now have to pay a $85 reinstatement fee to VA on top of it. But, sounds like a good deal points wise!
