you may as well just bounce to shreveport or little rock. That's what I do half the time. You've prbably already burned that much fuel idling in the heat

Heh, in the past month my truck has cost me a small freakin fortune. It is ONCE AGAIN sitting in the shop as I type this.

4 new batteries (2 were totally dead) so I replaced all
1 Starter (needed a tow) thank goodness it was only bobtail
    1 new idler pulley
    2 new drive belts
1 new wheel seal (blew out on the way to the alignment shop)
2 new steer tires (one tire horribly cupped, but I always replace steers in pairs...)
    2 new tie rods
1 alignment job, truck has rode better than ever before, but I am still thinking about getting rid of the crappy front airbags and putting a different set up underneath it. One of the local shops has done this a few times now, just gotta find out how much they'll charge to do it.

    *quick breath*

cruise control is now having intermitent problems. Yep, its a Volvo with electric problems, go figure...

brake lights look like cat eyes at night, you can just barely see two of the LED's staying on 24/7, this is some sort of parasitic draw that's gonna take me weeks to find.

And............ the freaking clutch fan is locked up constantly now, and throwing a code. Nobody had the relay in stock so I had to pay for overnight shipping so it should be here tomorrow morning. I may never get back out on the road lol.

Kansas I feel your pain. I would like to park my 07 780 just outside of a Swift terminal for about a day or 2 and see if I can get some white blue and gold stripes on the side of my truck. Maybe Ill leave the engine running and the doors unlocked while I shop at Wallyworld the next time im in Laredo.
