Woohoo from me too! I had been following the old thread for a little while, but never really saw where to stick my advice in, but I should have at least piped in to say good luck, being a struggling new O/O myself, although I am leased on to a company. My Mom grew up not far from you, on Sardis Road, and her Mom still lives there, off of 51 in Matthews. And no SunDrop? Boy, you ain't from around here, are ya'? You are really missing out.
Since 5mtf is in this with you-

Isn't this fuel cost high? By about $1500? I realize that you might have started with an empty tank and finished with a full one, but that would still put you at $1000 high at 6ish mpg. Do you guys not get a fuel discount with your card from Eclipse? The comdata card I have gets cost plus 3-4cents/gal at TA, Petro, and Love's. This gets me between 15 and 35 cents a gallon off the cash price, with 20cents or so being the average. That obviously wouldn't make up the huge difference, but it's a start. I agree that looking into something else would be a good idea, since it's hard to justify any deadhead, let alone 29% on $1.49/loaded mile.
I hope you guys pick up some good consistent revenue soon, and that the truck gremlins stay away for a while after you get your transmission problem fixed.

Welcome back!! I was wondering where I was gonna find my daily diesel fix...
PharmPhail Thanks this. -
Josh I believe the answer to you question lies in the part highlighted in red..... I did these figures based on PC miler miles NOT actual miles... There in lies the rub....
I'm far too depressed to look at and post the actual miles figure....
-
That far? I'm coming up with 10,293 miles at 6mpg and $2.70/gallon, surely you haven't gone 3k miles oor? That's 40%! I think the office needs to check their math, unless some of that money is also from Pharm's fuel card.
You get out of VA and rid of his trailer yet? -
If in fact I got a steady 6mpg's then your figures would be correct, However my little 400 pulling 79k up all the hill and such has severely reduced the milage as well as having to run her hard and steady to make up for all the DH miles to TRY to get some money in my pocket at the end of the week... The numbers posted are from my records and are very acurate...The issue is not at the office per say but rather in the high DH and lack of FSC....they get there $$$ and could care less whats left for the truck...josh.c Thanks this.
