insurance and DOT number for the rental truck - is it possible?

    Hello. I have a question. I work for a company that gives me a truck rental. I would like to make insurance for truck and to obtain the DOT number, regardless of this company. Is it possible? Or I can only use the insurance and the number of this company? Thanks

    Their truck, their rules... ask them.

    As far as whether or not you can rent a truck and get your own insurance and operate it under your own authority, the answer is yes.
