That’s a killer man. Add that to a truck payment and you could get in trouble real quick.

I get they’re taking a considerable risk, but darned if they don’t try to help you fail.

When i Opened my Authority Progressive quoted me $18k, i had my cdl 12yrs & 1 claim on my record in my pick up. I ended up going with i think it was Great American? For 13k. And that included 250k in cargo.

Good luck making a go of it for sure man. 28k is huge nut to swallow while you’re still trying to get your legs under you.

Is there way to change insurance company and get refund from previous one, in case of you find better insurance deal in the middle of your term?

Yes. Just like car insurance, it’s prorated. You’ll be rembursed for time unused

@Aamcotrans Did you call or just put your info into the Rigquote website? You may want to call if you used website. When I used the website it gave me a quote of $8k. When I called to get more info, the rep I spoke with told me that the algorithms used on the website are off. He told me I would most likely be looking at $12k/yr.

I've had my cdl for about 10 years now so that will affect that number. Other quote I got from my usual agent was $14k so I'm still ahead going through Rigquote once I decide to pull the trigger.

    ND,

like i said though what i paid starting out might not necessarily reflect what someone might pay as a new company now as it was quite a few years ago now.

there is a lot of factors that go into how they price insurance the best you can do is get quotes from as many people that will give them too you.

I only put it online. I do not have a truck, only tried it to see what the quote was.
