This is the "TruckersReport". Maybe you should move this to the Freight Brokers Report...

I didn't have a problem with him at all until he back back in attack mode. In my original post I was giving him pointers as he asked for in his original post.

Snarky comment was warranted. You're clearly walking around with a loaded gun ready to pull the trigger at the first sign of movement. And that's ok. You keep driving around angry all the time and I'll keep doing what I do, might even go see the doc about my small balls, thanks for bringing it to my attention.

    Brokers are ruining the market.
    Brokers stole my customer.
    Brokers don't pay enough.

Do you know why brokers exist?
Because YOU can't move 100 scattered singles a month and if you could, no one is going to pay you what you deem to be a fair rate.

Because YOU can't spend your days marketing and soliciting new business. Or can you? Stop driving for a few weeks and scoop up some new customers. Drop everything you're doing when one calls and asks you to grab 2 units from El Paso and bring them back to Syracuse.

We could post everything for $2/mile and literally EVERY SINGLE LOAD would get a call from a Marge asking for more money. Without fail. Every time.

    BRB researching my small balls.

I guess I overlooked the fact that were nv200. But that doesn’t change the fact that the the other 4 posts are way below average for their respective routes. I would rather park my truck than haul for low ballers like you.

PS. And 2019 Nissan nv200 is 6” taller than 2019 dodge caravan, not 2”.

Sure it is. But unless something magical comes from our research of the MCS-90 form the other nice fellow mentioned, we're left with no option but to sue the guy. For a $40k vehicle we'll be pursuing it. But for most of the $2k-$3k BS it isn't cost-effective to pursue.

Of course it is the carrier's responsa
Don't let my avatar fool you, I don't drive around angry. :p I know exactly why brokers exist. To make money off of truckers :D. Do you know why trucking companies exist? To keep America happy. How else would they receive the majority of their goods. I actually do spend my days marketing and soliciting successfully. That's why I have never called you. But don't worry, you will be sending my company a poorly written carrier contract very soon. I run an extremely successful business and execute it very well. You know nothing about running a business and I know this because I had to tell you what to put in your contract because it clearly didn't included said clauses. When you can purchase 10 new trucks at $295,000 a pop, pay the insurance and fuel bill, properly vet drivers, instead of paying $120 a month for Central Dispatch holler back. Do you actually tell your customers you don't own any trucks and are just posting on a load board in hopes of moving their vehicle? Probably not. I cannot wait to move a vehicle for you and let your customer know. BTW, I hope you find your small balls. That really must suck :(

One last thing. This is a prime example of you not understanding the business fully. You don't even know what an MCS90 is? An MCS90 is a filing with the FMSCA stating that the trucking company has proper liability/PD coverage to the motoring public. It has nothing to do with cargo insurance. Cargo insurance is not required by the FMSCA, they think that you (well not you bc you are a broker) know that cargo insurance is a necessity.

    Jesus you're a broken record.

I DO NOT HANDLE INSURANCE. FORGIVE MY LACK OF KNOWLEDGE. I HAVE STATED THIS BEFORE.
WE HAVE $500K CARGO OF OUR OWN. I HAVE STATES THIS BEFORE.
WE HAVE A $1M CONTINGENT CARGO POLICY OF OUR OWN. I HAVE STATED THIS BEFORE.

Snap out of it. I came here asking for help and insight. I wait weeks to post anything at all because of this EXACT thing. There are many great and helpful people here, but there also... others. All it takes is one to get the hive mind fired up. So I guess I'll strap in and just watch.

    Enjoy the thread.
