I talked to Progressive, they quoted me a price but also stated once my numbers went through the system I would be cancelled. I believe it was around $8,900 yr.
I also talked to OOIDA, THEY quoted about $11,400 yr. I inquired about some Brokers not loading you while using their insurance, Lady told me their are about 25 or so that won't, one of the biggest is Landstar.
I'm not saying that is the prices they would quote you! That was for me with over 30 accident free yrs driving experience, and I can't remember my last ticket it's been years! And I still use my Class A CDL with the company I'm employed with, so not like I just graduated some driving school.
Good luck with your search, and be safe out there, everybody.Przemek21 Thanks this. -
Called them Out of curiosity lol, if they are up and up it was a good quote. $8400 yr for $1,000,000 & $100,000 cargo.
By adding my truck at a value of $20,000 it went up to $9,600 year. Just throwing this out for others who may be interested. Keep in mind this is NOT your quote, yours may be cheaper or higher.RollingRecaps and Cat sdp Thank this. -
For a new venture AND new DOT # you are going to be very limited. We (National Indemnity Group....Part of Berkshire Hathaway) have been doing new ventures/new entrants all along, but you'll find our pricing a bit steep.
We market through General Agents, not "retail" insurance brokers.......if I knew what state you were in I could refer your retailer to a local General Agent who COULD get you in business. -
Progressive made this known several mos ago and it's new news to OOIDA?OLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this.
