We decided to get our own plates.....

So we went down to the DMV in NC, The first fiasco was they wonderful lady at the subcontractor DMV desk did not want to process out title paperwork because the sellers on the transfer of title use the NC form when they where from MO. We called the dealer he suggested I have the DMV call the state DVM office, thankfully Raleigh set her straight.

They asked about weights and if we where auling our own goods or someone elses told them we would be leasing on to a company that hauls goods for all sorts of people then they asked about the Insurance form E, I said what is that, her answer was "you have to have it if your not hauling your own goods" not a big help. I called my Insurace agent who said adding a Form E to my polsicy would make it skyrocket, he somewhat indicated that the Form E makes sure that the cargo your hauling is insured.

We did all of this on Fri afternoon and the company we will be leasing on to said they would check into it on Monday morning.

We are assuming from what I have gathered that the insurance company for the company we will be working for needs to send us a Form E stating that we will be insured when we haul for them?

Of is this something I need on my Insurance Policy?

If that is the case and I have to insure the cargo also I might as well get my own authority and not use a company that takes a cut.

A little clarification on the subject would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for all of your advice.
