Progressive has been robbing us and they are going up on their rates again, so we are looking for an alternative. We currently have 2 trucks and are about to purchase 2 more. Has anyone had any luck (good or bad) with Mega Trux in Lox Banos, Ca? Thanks

I know this is not answering your question but the answer could help.
why Progressive? They are normally the cheapest by far for people with troubles.

And isn't Mega Trux that company that advertises using pictures of women with big "IQ's"?

Call a few brokers....see what they can do for you.
As long as you have a totally clean record, great CSA Scores and decent credit scores there is no reason
you shouldn't find a better rate.

If you have 'issues' - no one will be cheaper than Progressive and most won't even talk to you nowadays.

I use OOIDA insurence. They had the best deal for me. They had everyone beat by almost $1000 on the down payment. Only down side was about 10 brokers wont use there insurence

Landstar being at the top of the list, sadly...

For me, OOIDA can't touch what I get with GWC, but I pull for Landstar too often to even consider OOIDA.
    I put 20% down and then 10 installments...then 2 months w/o premium.

Last time I checked, the State of Florida did not recognize OOIDA insurance for their tag requirements.

When I asked OOIDA about this, they said they could not write Florida based trucks.

If that's true...this is really sad.
I love OOIDA but for insurance, I think it really limits us.

Now, with that being said - they are great for physical damage and/or optional extra coverages that your current provider
might not be able to offer...but for Liability, I think there are too many issues - at least potential ones.

I asked several years ago, it might be recognized by Florida now.

So, you missed out on 10 loads that probably would've paid you around $15,000 to $20,000 just to save $1,000 on your insurance premium? I can see that you're going to be in business for a long time with your awesome business sense. (or should i say "cents") #######
