A lot easier to understand if you don't keep lumping different types together. Started at 11K for phy damage but now has liability also. At least that brings the phy damage down to something reasonable.

I got a notification last year from Northland that my insurance could go up 25%. They are required by law to notify customers when a rate increase exceeds a certain amount. I was spared and it didn't go up that much. I was also told the rate increase is due to new trucks made to fall apart on impact and the increased cost to fix them so we all pay.
I'm setup with 11 equal payments with 1 up front. -
Physical damage usually runs between 3 1/2-5% of the stated value of the equipment. -

That's what progressive quoted me as well. My business partner has 19 years experience and we are getting quotes tomorrow. He doesn't pay nearly that much driving under his current boss' authority. I'll reply back tomorrow with results.

I am contemplating getting my own authority as well, right now i have my truck leased on to Old Dominion. What are some of the insurance companies you guys use, besides Progressive?
