does insurance premium go down after a year old number? Have 2 violations with straps. One no belly strap and one with not enough straps on front stack without a headache rack. Will this affect me?

It's going to depend on how your insurance company looks at it. If there wasn't an accident or any claim involved that's a plus. I'd call them and ask them.

My insurance has really never gone down, but at least it hasn't gone up which is a blessing. I'd still talk to my insurance company. You can always have them re-rate you since it's based on credit rating whether they admit it or not. You can always shop around too. I do it and it's a good thing to do. I've saved money over the years that way. Below I added a link I thought you might be interested in since it's about load securement including without a headboard.

I pay 28k for two trucks full coverage a year. I have recently passed my 2 years with cdl but I don’t drive unless I have to and one driver has 7 points which he will soon be in his own truck.

Well 7 points are horrible to have on your license and your rates are reflecting that. I don't know how new your equipment is or who your insurance is through or what you haul but that's a bit high in mho. Mine is about $4,800.00 per year for one truck one brand new trailer one driver

I'd talk to Progressive Commercial and get a quote from them cause that's a pretty high rate. My total insurance isn't $10,000 a yr about the same coverage as you have.

My last payment is Jan 20th and paid up till April 20th. Hopefully I can get a better rate at that time. Been rough paying this premium a month. But I’ve heard first year is hard and most fail. I’ve made it and made money. Has took making every penny count but it’s been done so far.
