Interest in an iPhone application for the forum?

I recently bought an iphone and I love the applications that are available. I have been searching for trucker specific applications and have found some that could be useful but nothing trucker specific. I know alot of trucker are using the iphone now so...

My question is this: How many people would be interested in applications that allow access directly to the Trucker Report Forum and/or to www.chickentrucker.com
(similar to the i space application)?

If so, would you be willing to pay $.99 for this application through the itunes store to help me offset the software needed to design the application?


For forum admins/ owners: Is this something you would be interested in? I may need some info from you specifically to make the application.

BTW, if I can do this with no money out of pocket I will offer it for free, but it's looking like I will at least have to upgrade my OS to run the software.

 

I don't know if anyone else is interested or even reading this stuff, but once I am up and running I want to develop iphone apps specifically for truckers.

I NEED IDEAS!

I already found a good mileage logger that could be used for O/O and company drivers to keep track of $ per mile earned and expenses on each trip. Thought about a logbook application, any other ideas?

 

I am not a programmer by trade. Went to college for computer science. You can see how much a computer degree has helped me! Anyway, I dabble in some programming, and maintain a few websites, mostly for family. I will look into what I need to develop applications for the iPhone and see what I can do.
